1.  What type of investment is required for a professional to get into the eyelash extension business?

Daoudi: The initial investment involves the purchase of an Xtreme Lashes Training & Certification workshop which runs $595 for the 9 hour hands-on course, and the purchase of a supply kit (from $479 to $819).  Most clients choose the Gold Kit at $479 for their supply kit which contains enough supplies to do up to 300 applications.  On a per client base, supplies for the lash extensions generally amount to less than a $5.00 per client cost.  The majority of the charge involved in the application is due to the large amount of time the technician spends on this very detailed and meticulous process.

2.  Must they carry additional (or do you recommend) liability insurance.

Daoudi:  Most technicians and salons are covered under the existing liability insurance for this procedure.  We don’t think it necessary to apply for additional insurance but do recommend everyone carry a minimum amount of insurance that covers all of their procedures. 

3.  What is involved in the training and certification program you offer?

Daoudi: This comprehensive, hands-on workshop is an exclusive program designed and created by Xtreme Lashes™ to promote full comprehension of the eyelash extension concepts and techniques.  The workshop is conducted by leading eyelash extension professionals in the industry who will extend their expertise to educate professionals on the proper application technique, designs, safety and hygiene measures and methods of efficiency. 

The workshop opens with a theory section using an animated PowerPoint presentation.  During the lecture portion, the trainer will guide the students through the Xtreme Lashes™ workbook—an invaluable tool they can keep as a reference point upon completing the workshop. 

During the next section, Xtreme Lashes™ offers marketing support and discusses tips and strategies for the professional to utilize in marketing this unique service.  The majority of the workshop is hands-on.  Following a trainer demonstration is the student application portion under the supervision and guidance of the trainer.  This is the most important part of the program, and we are confident that the immense practical experience gained will carry the professional through many successful procedures thereafter.
